Square in a Square Quilting Class

There is no better way to make a square in a square quilting block than using Jodi Barrows Square in a Square Quilting Ruler.  This fun ruler class will teach you several very different options to inspire your quilting creativity. Image producing accurate square in a square blocks, square in a square in a square blocks, checkerboard in a square blocks, diamond shaped blocks, flying geese all ACCURATELY with this simple technique. This ruler class is only the beginning of many different and creative possibilities for your quilt blocks.

Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: Student must know how to confidently use a rotary cutter and how to sew 1/4" seams.
Materials Included: 1 1/2 yards of fabric, Square in a Square Ruler & Book
Requirements: Bring 6 1/2" x 24 1/2" ruler, Omnigrid 6" x 12" ruler, rotary cutter, cutting mat, fabric scissors, thread, pins, seam ripper Must bring your sewing machine that is in good working order and that you know how to operate.
Instructor: Judy Parker
Instructor Bio: Judy has been quilting for at least 20 years and sewing for many more. She began her career in the interior design industry and taught at the college level. She studied color theory, textiles and is very creative with color composition. She loves this Jody Barrow ruler technique and encouraged us to carry it in our shop because of its wide application in quilting. Judy uses the ruler in most of her quilt designs.
